Your Attitude (Finale) - March 2012 Edition

Posted on March 4, 2012 at 12:05 AM

How is the year coming along for you? Having a fabulous 2012? I hope, your pursuit for a better and balanced lifestyle is coming along strong! It all starts with our ATTITUDE. So in this months article, we will be concluding this series of foundation building with March’s 2012 Edition - YOUR ATTITUDE!

Throughout this series you may have been asking yourself, “Why am I working so hard to improve my attitude?

Good question, why? Let me ask you this, “What do you want to ABSOLUTELY get out of life?

Our attitude is the reflection of our inner selves, and it is related to creating the successes we want to achieve. Also in order to better our lives, and see everything in a better light, our attitude will be the centerfold.

If you have answered the question I just presented; then that answer is the reason why you are putting so much effort to become better. If you feel like you have no reason or can’t find any purpose for building your attitude and this is stupid then; may I ask you to consider examining yourself and your surroundings and see how others perceive you AND how you perceive others. What you give out you get back in return. It all starts back at us.

There are tons and tons of materials out there on building and keeping a positive attitude. Some of them are more effective at portraying the meaning better than others. But the information is all the same and invaluable. But nothing is better then reading a good ol’ book, and below I will list the top 5 books that I recommend. They are all a good read and will add to your self-help library:

The building of a new attitude is like learning a new sport. You always need to fine tune the techniques to become more efficient and to master them. Ultimately if you fall back, like any sport you haven’t played in a long time, you can always come back as you can never fully forget once you know the proper techniques you have mastered. All you have to do is practice a little each day in the right way to get back on track. But importantly, since it’s your attitude you have in control, you will also know the best and effective way to get there. You have the attitude you INTEND to build. All you have to do is MAKE IT!.

As you know, everything in this world is continuously moving. The river runs downhill towards the ocean, the clouds turn to rain supplying the rivers which then turns into clouds again. The cycle continues and never stops. Plants and trees grow stretching to their limits trying to reach the sun, blooming ever so beautifully while dropping tiny seeds for future growth of their species, which will do the same. We as human beings must continue to grow and improve ourselves through the moving times.

So take the next step by making 2 or 3 goals that you want to get done three to six months from now. Just like a boulder, you have momentum you need to roll with on the ups and downs. Never underestimate the power of GOAL SETTING, MOMENTUM and CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF.

Now let’s summarize what we have learned throughout this series:

  • Words: Choose words that presents a POSITIVE attitude, the words you use shows what state your attitude is right now.
  • Direction: Know where you’re headed, do things bit by bit, one day at a time and you will get there.
  • Determination: Stay COMMITTED, and keep at it. When you fall: get back up!
  • The Little Things: Your faults are your gain, they are just pieces that need to be trained to make you an even BETTER person.
  • Visualize: SEE yourself already achieving your desired attitude.
  • Act: Start now and BEHAVE how you want your entire persona to be.

Just like what we talked about in this series, your attitude is the single most important aspect that will allow you and everyone out there to achieve success, balance and freedom. Your attitude is what will take you to the greatness heights and assist you through the harshest hardships.

Someone once said:

“If you have Great attitude...

     you will achieve Great results.

          Poor attitude, Poor results...

               No attitude... No results.”

Thank You,
